The meeting focused on the development of wine and gastronomy tourism in the Paphos district and explored ways to further connect the region’s rich culinary heritage with its tourism offering
The meeting took place within the framework of the European project ENOGASTRODEST, in which the Pafos Chamber of Commerce and Industry participates as a key partner. The discussion focused on strengthening cooperation among local authorities, tourism stakeholders, producers, wineries, and businesses in order to promote Pafos as an attractive eno-gastronomic destination.
During the meeting, participants exchanged views on initiatives and actions that can enhance the visibility of local products, traditional cuisine, and wine culture, while also enriching the overall tourism experience for visitors to the region. Particular emphasis was placed on the creation of authentic experiences that combine gastronomy, culture, rural tourism, and local entrepreneurship.
The representatives underlined the importance of coordinated efforts in promoting sustainable tourism development and supporting local producers and businesses through innovative tourism practices and strategic partnerships.
The Pafos Chamber of Commerce and Industry reaffirmed its commitment to actively supporting initiatives that strengthen the local economy, enhance the tourism identity of the district, and promote the unique gastronomic and wine heritage of Pafos at both the national and European level.
